De handtas The Small Tote van Marc Jacobs is gemaakt van generfd leer en heeft een strak en stevig ontwerp. De twee stevige, buisvormige handvatten aan de bovenkant zorgen voor een comfortabele grip, terwijl de ritssluiting ervoor zorgt dat spullen veilig opgeborgen blijven. Binnenin is er een apart vak voor extra gebruiksgemak. De verstelbare en afneembare platte schouderband zorgt voor veelzijdigheid, waardoor de tas ook over de schouder gedragen kan worden. Het iconische monogram van het merk is contrasterend op de voorkant gedrukt, terwijl de achterkant is voorzien van een leren patch met het logo dat door druk is aangebracht, wat de kenmerkende, moderne look van de tas compleet maakt.
